The Victory Theatre, one of Johannesburg’s oldest heritage theatres, faces the threat of possible closure.
This non-profit theatre is in financial difficulty. With the high mortgage bonds used for the refurbishing of the theatre, the high costs of electricity, water and rates, the theatre is turning to the public and companies for support. The Victory Theatre is calling on any schools, universities and other arts and drama clubs to host their productions and functions at the theatre.
